Each apartment is named after a native bird. The smallest, Kuckuck 7 and Schnepfe 11, have 54 m²; Falke 13 is the penthouse with 130 m² and a terrace. Lerche 4 has a terrace of around 90 m², and Zaunkönig 9 its own sauna.

Timber cladding, white render and large windows: Waldrand Apartments sits on the Vorberg between woodland and open meadows, looking out over the surrounding mountains.

Cross-country skiing
From the front door straight onto the trail
In winter the piste groomer sets the trail across the meadow in front of the house. It is part of the Kulm trail and the Dachstein circuit and passes about 30 m from the entrance, so you can clip in and go.
Ramsau am Dachstein hosted the 1999 Nordic World Ski Championships. The regional tourist board lists more than 100 km of classic and more than 70 km of skating trails when snow conditions are good.

In summer the Rittisberg lift and the Ramsau Beach swimming lake are about 9 minutes away by car, the Dachstein Glacier cable car about 18.
