What is the Schladming-Dachstein Card?
The Schladming-Dachstein Card is the guest card of the Schladming-Dachstein region. From 2026 it replaces the former Sommercard (summer card). It covers more than 100 free and more than 100 discounted activities: cable cars, buses, toll roads, pools, museums and family activities.
Guests receive the card at no extra cost from one night’s stay with a participating card host; it cannot be bought. Visitors not staying overnight in the region can buy the Freizeitcard instead.
Validity and price
In 2026 the card is valid from 14 May 2026 to 1 November 2026, from 1 pm on your day of arrival until the end of your departure day. Every stay at Waldrand Apartments in that period includes it automatically – at no extra cost and without separate registration.
How do you get the card?
- By noon on your day of arrival you receive an email with an access link to the card – please check your spam folder too.
- For the card, guests’ names and dates of birth are passed on to the tourist board; children receive their own KidsCard.
- The link opens the web app; activate your card(s) under “CARD”. A printed card is only valid once signed.

In winter: Ramsau WinterCard instead
The Schladming-Dachstein Card is valid in summer only; there are no card benefits in winter. For winter, Ramsau has the separate Ramsau WinterCard from RVB: reduced bus fares, a cheaper trail pass, discounts at the Dachstein Bad and savings at museums, hire shops and sports shops (2025/26 season).

Do I get the Dachstein Card automatically?
Yes. For stays at Waldrand Apartments between 14 May 2026 and 1 November 2026 the Schladming-Dachstein Card arrives by email by noon on your day of arrival. It is valid from 1 pm.
Is the card valid in winter?
No. In 2026 the card is only valid from 14 May 2026 to 1 November 2026. In winter Ramsau has the separate Ramsau WinterCard.
Is the Dachstein Glacier cable car included?
Yes, with a restriction: one return trip if you stay at least 2 consecutive nights, once in the first 7 days. A seat must be reserved in advance.
Do children need their own card?
Yes. Children receive their own KidsCard; their name and date of birth are passed on with the registration.

Are buses free with the card?
